I have noticed something. Something brewing beneath the surface of the internet. In fact, it’s been brewing for years and years. I’m speaking about the millions of blogs on the internet that have ultimately failed because their content is lifeless. These blogs and videos form an endless wasteland of rotten data and useless information. Like the great pacific garbage patch, they are an eyesore upon fertile land.
There is no life to the stuff most people talk about. There is no fire in the loins. Millions of people have gang rushed to the internet with lofty hopes of banking the big time with a blog or YouTube channel. These same people quickly discover the game is much more difficult than they initially estimated. They realize online money will not come easy like they were told by hustler porn stars.
At the core of the average blogger or content creator is one thing – average content. Their content is content for the sake of content. They leave the reader bored.
Like a limp dick, average content will never satisfy the longing of the consumer who wants deep action.
Now, I’m not saying you need to start swearing or “peacocking” to get attention. Good content doesn’t mean you start cracking into videos like Billy Mays in an Oxiclean commercial. You’re not a damn cartoon character. Good content doesn’t mean copying someone elses style, going over the top, or becoming a clown.
Good content is taking an existing topic of interest and infusing your own unique spin on it. People have heard the same shit over and over. They want to hear something different. They want to hear YOUR opinions on the matter.
…and the weirder and more personal your angle the better. It no longer pays to create content which pleases everyone and offends nobody. You gotta get personal and engage the world with your personality. Think about how you act in a circle of close friends, or with your BEST friend. Think about how free you feel to say anything, to crack any joke, to offer your unique opinion on any matter. This is the side you must bring to the surface of your content.
The average content creator simply rehashes someone else’s content. The professional content creator creates something from nothing. They connect abstract thoughts together. They piece together ideas from different schools of thought and weld them together, forming something completely fresh and new. They excite the reader and stimulate the mind.
I am announcing a PSA:
Make content great again. Make affiliates sites great again.
For the sake of the internet and your bank account, you must create content with LIFE!
